FAQ: FAQ

What products are applied to my yard in a treatment?

Our primary barrier treatment products are synthetic forms of pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins originate from the extract of chrysanthemum flowers. Pyrethroids are used in various household products including lice shampoos and pet shampoos and sprays. We spray this product on bushes and shrubs, mulch beds, low-hanging portions of your trees, etc. Since these products are derived from plants, they will not harm plants. The products break down naturally into harmless byproducts approximately 21 days after application.

How long does a mosquito treatment take to apply and how long will it last?

A mosquito treatment takes about 20 minutes to complete, on average. Larger yards may take longer to treat. Each treatment lasts approximately 21 days, so our technicians will be dispatched to your property every 18 – 24 days. You, your family, and your pets should stay inside during the barrier treatment, but feel free to return to your outdoor fun after allowing 30 minutes for the treatment to dry. When dry, there is minimal opportunity for the product to transfer to people or pets who brush against the foliage.

Does someone need to be home for your treatments?

No. We will notify you in advance when our technicians are dispatched to your property. If you are home, we will check in and check out with you. Either way, we will leave notice that your mosquitos have been dispatched.

Will all the mosquitoes and ticks on my property be dispatched?

No service can provide 100% protection from every mosquito and tick, but our service can be expected to reduce mosquitoes and ticks by 95%.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes. Within 14 days of treatment, just let us know if you are not satisfied with the level of mosquito control, and an agent will be dispatched to treat your property again, free of charge.

Will my mosquitos still be dispatched if it rains after my property has been treated?

As long as our treatment has had sufficient time to dry afterwards (about 30 minutes), rain should not have a negative effect on the quality of your treatment.  However, our guarantee ensures that if the quality of your treatment is affected by rain, we will come back and re-treat at no additional cost.

What does Mosquito Dispatch do to protect bees and other beneficial pollinators?

Mosquito Dispatch does not use the family of pesticides most detrimental to pollinators, neonicotinoids.  Additional protection to pollinators is provided by our licensed and highly skilled agents, who are trained to strictly adhere to all EPA and Arkansas Department of Agricultural requirements while customizing the treatment methods for each property.

Can Mosquito Dispatch protect my family against mosquitos that carry the Zika virus and West Nile Virus?

Yes. Regular treatments can effectively kill and prevent mosquitoes, protecting you and your family from these and other mosquito-borne illnesses.

Can I get just a one-time treatment for a special outdoor party, wedding, or reception?

Absolutely! We protect everything from weddings to backyard birthdays to family reunions. Contact us for details about dispatching a special ops detail for your next event!

How much does mosquito treatment cost?

Pricing is determined by the size of your property, the density of the foliage on your property, and how many treatments you would like to receive. Each property is unique, and we customize each service plan to successfully treat your mosquito problems. Please contact us to request a free quote at any time. In most cases a budgetary estimate can be provided without even visiting your property, and an agent will be dispatched to evaluate your treatment details and provide customized pricing.
